Another Swallowtail

Hello!
We have had such a brilliant time in Edinburgh, but, alas, it is time to head home now. I will share some pictures with you soon :)

For now, here is a card I made for my lovely Stampers 6 ladies this month using my gorgeous new Swallowtail stamp and some Pool Party embossing folder.

I stamped the background with the Woodgrain background stamp in Crumb Cake.

The butterflies were first heat embossed with Pool Party Stampin' Emboss, then with Iridescent Ice for a bit of sparkle.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamp - Swallowtail, Woodgrain
Ink - Crumb Cake, Versamark
Embossing - Pool Party, Iridescent Ice

A money gift wallet

Good morning!
Here is a gift money envelope I made to match a wedding card I made last week. It is a very simple but elegant way to give the happy couple their requested gift of money or vouchers.

I used the Mrs & Mrs stamp, Adorning Accents Edgelits, Labels Collection Framelits & 1/2in Circle Punch.

The measurements for this are as follows...

Main envelope size - 7 & 5/8in x 7 & 1/2in
Belly Band size - 7 & 1/2in x 1 & 3/4in

Score main envelope at 1 & 3/8in and 4 & 6/8in along the 7 & 5/8in side.

Score belly band at 1 & 7/8in and 5 3/8in.

I hope these measurements help!

Supplies
Stamps - Mr & Mrs
Ink - Melon Mambo
Dies - Labels Collection Framelits, Adorning Accents Edgelits

Stunning Swallowtail!

Hello!
Here is a card using the gorgeous Swallowtail stamp and Pool Party Stampin' Emboss powder.

You can see the shimmer of the embossing better here.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamp - Swallowtail
Ink - Versamark
Embossing - Pool Party Stampin' Emboss
Ribbon - Basic Black Two Tone
Punch - Scallop Trim Border
Other - Bitty Buttons

I'm working today, but I have a week off then and we're off to Edinburgh...can't wait!
Have a lovely Sunday!

You're how old??

Good morning LIMettes!
I hope you've had a good week?
I've had a very busy one, but I have a week off after tomorrow, which I am very much looking forward to! We are going to Edinburgh and I can't wait!

Anyway, this week Chrissie and Jen have come up with the theme of...

Now I don't really have a lot in the way of humorous stamps so I decided to use one of my cute Dinoroars and a computer printed sentiment...

I paper pierced the top and bottom for some added texture.

I think the sentiment is quite fun!

Supplies
Cardstock - Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze
Stamp - Dinoroar
Ink - Soft Suede, Old Olive

I had quite a late night last night as Jen and I were at Keiran's school having a craft evening with some of the ladies from church making cards to sell at the summer fair. We had a lovely night using all sorts of Stampin' Up! goodies, plus some old craft stash of ours...it was very enjoyable and I think we will be doing it again for sure! Here are a couple of photos...

Crafters hard at work...

The fruits of our labour...

All in all, we made 61 cards in 2 and a half hours! I wish I could manage that at home lol!

So, that said, I'm going back to bed for a bit as I have no son, no work and no market today!

See you later!

So now it's time for today's card...

Isn't that designer paper pretty?? It's called Twitterpated and it works so beautifully with the Papillon Potpourri stamps and the matching punches.

A useful, recycled project!

Good morning!
As promised yesterday, here is the little project I said I would show you using these few little bits of packing and some Designer Series Paper...

The story behind this project is that I needed somewhere to store my earrings instead of hiding them away in my jewellery box.
So here it is...

Obviously, the foam in the photo isn't the bit I used! I actually made this earring holder before I decided to blog it so all I had were the bits that were left to show what I was using!
This was a very simple project to make and has turned out to be extremely useful!

The back was designed using a similar template to the ones on the back of our display stands in our shop. The earrings very simply push into the paper and foam and are quite securely held in place!

Products
Designer Series Paper - Pool Party
Other - Packaging from Stampin' Up! deliveries!

Anyway, here is the card I promised...

This lovely stamp is from The Summer Silhouettes set and I stamped it in Chocolate Chip and Whisper White.

I trimmed the stem and added it over my DSP to extend the flower. The butterfly is also stamped in Whisper White. The sentiment is from Jen's Fabulous Phrases, which she forgot to take home Friday night!

Bright Blossoms!

Good morning!
How was your weekend? I had a very productive day yesterday mowing lawns, weeding, and planting some salad seeds, re-potting some seedlings and planting out our runner beans and some pea and dwarf bean seeds! Hopefully we shall reap plenty again this year!

After all that hard work in the garden, I was inspired to make a pretty summery, flowery card...

I stamped the Bright Blossoms set in Real Red, Old Olive and Tempting Turquoise. I used my trusty Stamp-a-Majig for perfect placement of these lovely stamps. It really does make life so much easier and I find it works brilliantly with any brand of wood or clear mount stamps!

The paper is from the fab Polka Dot Parade DSP pack and I finished with sentiments from the Tiny Tags set.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White, Old Olive
Stamps - Bright Blossoms, Tiny Tags
Ink - Real Red, Old Olive and Tempting Turquoise
Designer Series Paper - Polka Dot Parade
Punches - Jewellery Tag, Scallop Trim Border
Ribbon etc - Whisper White Baker's Twine, Daffodil Delight Stitched Grossgrain
